To promote public policies that support the economic and social well-being of low-income parents, particularly never-married, noncustodial fathers and their families, with a focus on gender and racial equity.

Founded in 1995, the Center for Family Policy and Practice (CFFPP) began as a project focused on child support policy reform. It has since evolved into a national organization advocating for social and economic justice for low-income parents, particularly Black fathers, by addressing the intersection of race, gender, and poverty in policy.
